Getting paid
Students pay through Stripe, and your 85% settles into your own Stripe account. Haven never holds your money, keeps no balance for you and runs no payout of its own — Stripe pays your account out on Stripe’s schedule.
The split
Each paid enrollment is a Stripe Connect destination charge. Stripe splits the money at the moment of the charge: Haven’s 15% is taken as an application fee and the remaining 85% settles into your own connected Stripe account. Haven never receives your share and never forwards it.

When you get paid
- Stripe pays your connected account out on Stripe’s own schedule. Haven runs no payout and cannot start, hold or delay one.
- Stripe can pause payouts on your account while it checks your details, and will say why. Haven has no hold of its own and cannot lift Stripe’s.
- Refunds and chargebacks are reversed through Stripe against the original charge. They are not deducted from a later Haven payout, because Haven runs none.
- You are responsible for your own taxes — Haven does not withhold
Teachers under 18
You may teach and earn on Haven, and your share is paid into a Stripe account held by a verified guardian — never to you directly. Nothing is set aside for you before that account exists: until a verified guardian holds it and Stripe has enabled payouts on it, Haven cannot take payment for your course at all, so no sale completes and no earnings build up in the meantime. Once it is in place, each enrollment settles into that account exactly as it would for an adult teacher.
Refunds you should expect
A student who cancels within 24 hours of purchase is entitled to a full refund. After that window a refund is not automatic: the student emails support, and Haven considers the request on its facts and under applicable law.
If you withdraw a course, or it is not what your course page described, the refund is full whatever the student's progress through it.
Every refund is raised by a person at Haven through Stripe, against the original charge. Your 85% and Haven's 15% are reversed proportionally, so a refund costs you your share of that sale and nothing more.
