Haven Courses is an invite-only learning marketplace where independent teachers and students find each other and learn together. Haven is built on the premise that the best person to teach a fifteen-year-old is often not an adult, so teachers and students can both be under 18 — and every safety decision follows from that.

- That Haven runs background checks — we do not, and we say so on our safety page
- That Haven verifies teaching quality — we verify identity only
- That teachers host live classes from their own Zoom accounts — meetings are created on a Zoom account Haven controls, so recordings of lessons involving minors stay auditable
- That Haven pays teachers on a Haven schedule — Stripe splits each charge and pays the teacher’s own Stripe account on Stripe’s schedule; Haven holds no teacher money
